    Kusatsu Yubatake
    The “Yubatake” of Kusatsu Onsen is one of the iconic landscapes of the hot spring town. It is in the centre of the hot spring town and is a large open-air hot spring area. Yubatake means “hot water field”, and the source of the spring gushes out about 4,000 litters of hot spring water per minute. The hot spring water is cooled through wooden pipes and supplied to the bathhouses in the town.
